Swedish Nuts

Ingredients:

3 1/2 cups mixed nuts
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 whole egg whites

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees

2. Toast nuts on jelly roll pan for 10 minutes

3. While nuts are in oven, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. 

4. Then add sugar and salt slowly and beat until glossy.

5. Take nuts from oven and mix with egg mixture. 

6. Place butter on hot pan and let melt while stirring nuts

7. Spread coated nuts back on pan and bake for 30 minutes, turning nuts every 10 minutes

8. Let cool and break apart.

9. Salt to taste {if you use salted nuts don’t add salt}
