1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
24 oz kidney beans, drained
24 oz salsa, thick and chunky style (mild,medium, or hot)
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon cumin
shredded cheese to top
Instructions:
1. In a 4- quart saucepan, over medium heat, cook beef onion & garlic until beef is no longer pink. Occasionally stirring to break up meat.
2. Drain and add beans, salsa, chili powder, oregano and cumin.
3. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes - stirring occasionally.
4. Serve topped with cheese.
