Saffron Loaves

Ingredients:

1 1/2 teaspoons saffron
1/4 cup boiling water
8 ounces milk

1/2 cup oleo
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
2 each eggs
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisin

Instructions:

1. Put  saffron in boiling water in a 8 oz cup and fill the rest with milk.

2. Add olio, sugar, eggs, flour, backing powder, salt, raisins or currants.

3. Pour into 3 greased and floured 4" x 7" loaf pans.

4. Bake about 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
