Oven Baked French Toast


Notes: We make this every year at the Cain household for Christmas morning.  Yummy!

Ingredients:

3 whole eggs
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups milk

1/2 cup flour
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened (or oleo)

Instructions:

1. In a greased 9x13" pan slice French Bread into 1" or more slices.  Squish bread together so there are no open  spaces in pan.

2. Mix in a bowl: eggs, sugar, vanilla, milk.

3. Pour this mixture over bread slices and flip to coat the other side of bread.  Cover with foil and put in frig over night.  In the morning flip the slices one more time and then coat with topping.
/2 cup flour

4. For Topping mix together flour, brown sugar, and softened oleo or butter.

5. When crumbly sprinkle over top of bread.  Bake at 375 for  40 minutes uncovered.

6. Serve with syrup
