Corn Bread Taco Bake


Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef, drained
1 can corn (15 oz)
1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup green pepper, cut in 1/2" pieces
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 package corn bread muffin mix (8 oz)
1 package french fried onions
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions:
1. Brown ground beef stir in corn, tomato sauce, water, green pepper and taco seasoning.  Mix well. Spoon into greased 2 qt. baking dish. 

2. Prepare corn bread mix according to pkg. Stir in 1/2 of the french fried onions.  Spread over beef. 

3. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. 

4. Sprinkle with cheese and the rest of the onions.  Bake another 5-10 minutes.
