Chocolate Crescent Moon Cookies

Notes: Sara won a blue ribbon at the 2004 Teton County Fair in Wyoming in the  "Miscellaneous Cookie" category with these cookies.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cups cocoa
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 each egg
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions:

1. Combine butter, sugar, vanilla and egg.




2. With a wire whisk - mix flour and cocoa.

3. Add all together - dough will crumble.

4. Roll ½ inch of dough into a log and bend the ends to create a crescent moon shape.

5. Bake at 325 for 10 -15 minutes (they get very hard if they are overcooked).

6. Cool for 2- 3 minutes and then sprinkle on or roll in powdered sugar.
