Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Notes:  This is a Sandra Lee Recipe

Serves:  4 

Ingredients:

1 pound chicken tenders cut into small strips
1 cup buffalo wing sauce plus 2 tablespoons
1 refrigerated pizza dough
1 cup blue cheese dressing
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup red onions sliced (1 small)
1 cup celery, diced (2 stalks)

Instructions:



  1. Set up the grill at medium heat.
  2. Place chicken strips in a large bowl with 1 cup buffalo wing sauce and toss to coat the chicken.
  3. Grill the chicken 3-4 minutes per side.  
  4. While the chicken is grilling, roll out the pizza dough.  Spray both sides of the dough with nonstick cooking spray.  Place the dough on the grill and let cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.  Carefully watch the crust.
  5. Spread the blue cheese dressing over pizza leaving a 1-inch border.  
  6. Top with mozzarella cheese, red onion, celery, and chicken strips.
  7. Drizzle with remaining buffalo wing sauce.
  8. Cover the grill lid and cook for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.  Serve hot.

Indoor Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Lightly spray baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 7 minutes or until the crust begins to brown.
  5. Remove crust from oven and top with mozzarella cheese, red onion, celery, and chicken strips.
  6. Drizzle with remaining buffalo wing sauce.
  7. Return to oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
