Mom's Almond Bars


Servings: 12

Ingredients:

1 cup flour
1/2 cup oleo
1 tablespoon water

2 whole eggs, beaten
1 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Almond Frosting

Instructions:
1. Mix first three ingredients and pat into 7x11 pan.

2. Beat eggs and add brown sugar, flour, baking powder, wlanuts, and almond extract. Pour over bottom and bake 20-25 minutes in 350 oven.  Cool.

3. Prepare Almond Frosting.

4. For a 9x13 pan, make 1 1/2 recipes.
