Ingredients:
3 each eggs, separated
1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1 9 inch pie crust, unbaked
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/3 cup sugar
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. with mixer, beat egg yolks in medium-sized bowl. gradually beat in condensed milk, lime juice. pour into pie crust. bake for 30 minutes.
2. Remove from oven. raise oven temp to 350. for meringue, beat egg whites and cream of tartar with clean mixer until soft peaks form.
3. Gradually beat in sugar, beat 4min. or until stiff. immediately spread meringue over hot pie, sealing edges.
4. Bake 15 minutes and cool 1 hour
