Cranberry Bread


Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup shortening
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
3/4 cup orange juice
1 whole egg, beaten
1 cup cranberries

Instructions:
1. Sift dry ingredients; cut in shortening.  

2. Combine peel, juice, and egg.  Add to dry mixture, mixing just to moisten.

3. Fold in cranberries and chopped walnuts{if desired}.

4. Place in a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes or toothpick comes out clean.
