Ingredients:
1/2 pound dates
2 tablespoons oleo
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup boiling water
1 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 whole egg
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts
1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Mix and cool first four ingredients.
2. Add sugar, flour, nuts, vanilla, and egg.
3. Make and pour on topping (sugar, nuts, and chocolate chips.)
4. Bake 30 minutes at 350
