Servings: 24 Yield: 1 roll
Everybody says my rolls are good and now I have told you all the secrets that you won't find in other recipes. Good luck. They are fun to make and even better to eat and share. Good luck to you…. Carol
Ingredients:
Parkerhouse Rolls Recipe
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Instructions:
1. To make Cinnamon Rolls you roll out the dough in a rectangle and brush with soft butter. Sprinkle a mixture of 1/2 c sugar and 2 t cinnamon.
2. You can sprinkle with chopped nut and some raisins if desired.
3. I put my fingertips in water and sprinkle a few drops of water across the whole thing. This makes them moist. Don't overdo this though.
4. Roll up the dough into a tube sealing the edges with water. Now take a piece of thread and cut the individual rolls by wrapping it around the end about 3/4 inch in and pulling it until it cuts the roll off. This makes them very uniform.
5. Put in a buttered pan. Bake 25-30 minutes at 375. Watch closely. I look under a roll to see if it is golden to check for doneness.
6. Frost with a simple butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and a little water frosting after rolls have cooled.
