Hash Brown Quiche

Servings: 6

Notes:  Grandma has made this recipe several times.  She found the recipe in the insert of her UP Power Company bill!  Good Find!

Ingredients:

3 cups of frozen hash browns, loose, thawed
1/3 cup butter or oleo melted
1 cup cooked ham diced
4 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup green pepper diced
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions:


  1. Dry out the hash browns by squeezing between paper towel
  2. Press the hash browns into the bottom into an ungreased pie plate
  3. Drizzle with melted butter
  4. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 minutes
  5. Combine ham, cheese and green pepper and spoon over the pie crust
  6. Beat eggs in small bowl
  7. Pour over pie crust
  8. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 25 to 30 more minutes
