Caramelized Almonds


Servings: 10

Notes:
For every ¼ cup of almonds use 2 T. white granulated sugar
This recipe is used in the Mary Mack Salad
Mary Mack is a good from of Emily Marie's.


Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups almonds
10 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions:
1. In a non-stick pan at medium heat melt sugar - STIR CONSTANTLY - make sure you do not burn or have turn dark brown.

2. When melted, QUICKLY take off heat and mix almonds with glaze and QUICKLY put on to glass bowl or plate.

3. If you let stand to long it will stick to pan and become very hard to come off. If you have some glued to the pan place pan back on stove with water. Bring to boil until the sugar is dissolved.

4. Place almonds in plastic bag and break up.
